In the bleak mid-winter
Neighbors stay warm inside.
TV stays on way too much.
Skin dries out.
Taxes must be done.
School must be chosen.
Home improvement drags along.
Many pots of coffee brewed.
Christmas bills haunt us.
Cold air blows in through cracks in the doors.
Winter blues.

Hey, I live in the south for a reason; this current weather is not one of them! I keep saying, "Dead bugs, less bugs, dead bugs." Winter blues, indeed.
